In 2006, Oshkosh made a strong move towards growing its presence with the acquisition of the JLG Industries, Inc., the global leader in aerial access equipment. With the addition of JLG to the Oshkosh family of companies, we now have major manufacturing operations in the Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and United Kingdom. JLG sells its aerial work platforms and telehandlers in all major western European nations and in a growing number of eastern European countries.
Oshkosh is a major supplier of defense vehicles for the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. Oshkosh recently completed the final shipments of a contract for Heavy Equipment Transporter and Wheeled Tankers. Vehicle shipments on this contract began in 2004 and were substantially completed in early fiscal 2007.
Greece and Cyprus can be counted among Oshkosh ARFF truck customers.
BAI Companies joined the corporation in 2004 and sells municipal and airport fire trucks from its home location in Italy. Its apparatus provide protection in Rome and other cities throughout Italy and the Middle East.

Oshkosh owns manufacturing facilities and enhanced distribution with its Geesink Norba Group, the leading European refuse collection body manufacturer. Additionally, our refuse hauling company has branch locations in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom to support local waste haulers. Geesink Norba was acquired by Oshkosh in 2001.
